5.5"x8" three-color screen print
I sometimes just follow my whims when I start these small prints. I find images that inspire me for one reason or another and just start drawing without a clear, final goal in mind. This was one of those times. I made this drawing back in January while looking at old circus and carnival imagery. It’s inspired by the Coney Island, Steeplechase – Funny Face. I really like it but it’s such an off-putting image that I decided to add these words and save it for this October season.
Perhaps it describes how one might feel, while spending time with family for the holidays.
